Forming & Fabrication
5052 is often selected for parts that require bending, drawing, forming, and welding. H32 provides a practical balance between strength and formability for fabricated sheet-metal parts, while O temper is used where more extensive forming is required.
The alloy can also produce a consistent appearance after anodizing, making it suitable for fabricated components where the finished surface remains visible. Laser-cut blanks and custom-sized pieces can be supplied for further bending, welding, or machining.

Where Is 5052 Aluminum Plate Used?
5052 aluminum plate is commonly used for sheet metal fabrication, fuel tanks, marine components, and electrical enclosures. Its formability, weldability, and corrosion resistance make it suitable for parts that require cutting, bending, forming, and welding.
Precision Sheet Metal Fabrication
5052 aluminum plate is well suited for laser-cut and formed sheet metal parts such as brackets, chassis, covers, and custom enclosures. H32 provides a practical balance of strength and formability, while O temper is available for parts requiring more extensive forming. The alloy can be cut, bent, punched, and welded using common fabrication processes.

Fuel Tanks & Fluid Reservoirs
5052 aluminum plate is commonly used for truck fuel tanks, oil reservoirs, water tanks, and other welded fluid containers. Its formability allows the plate to be shaped into tank components, while its weldability supports fabricated and welded assemblies.

Marine Components
5052 aluminum plate is used for marine hatches, console panels, equipment enclosures, storage compartments, and other fabricated boat components. Its resistance to marine atmospheric corrosion makes it suitable for parts exposed to moisture and saltwater environments.

Electrical Enclosures & Cabinets
5052 aluminum plate is used for electrical cabinets, control boxes, equipment housings, and junction boxes. It supports laser cutting, CNC punching, bending, welding, and surface treatments such as anodizing or powder coating for fabricated indoor and outdoor enclosures.
