Our galvanized steel C channel, also known as galvanized C purlin, is manufactured from ASTM A36 or S235JR carbon steel, finished with hot-dip galvanizing treatment for superior corrosion resistance. It is available in both hot rolled heavy-duty C channel and light-gauge cold formed C purlin to match different load requirements.

Q1: What is the difference between ASTM A36 and S235JR galvanized C channel?

A: ASTM A36 is an American carbon steel grade, widely accepted for North & South America projects. S235JR is European EN standard grade, popular for EU and African projects. Both have good weldability and mechanical performance for structural use.

Q2: Is this hot-dip galvanized or pre-galvanized?

A: Normally we supply hot-dip galvanized (HDG). It provides much better anti-corrosion performance than pre-galvanized, suitable for outdoor, humid, coastal and mining environments. Zinc coating thickness can be customized.

Q3: Can you produce both hot rolled heavy C channel and cold formed galvanized C purlin?

A: Yes. Heavy load hot rolled C channel for main structural support; light gauge cold formed C purlin for roof, wall and solar bracket secondary structure.

Q4: Can you punch holes, cut to length or bend the galvanized C purlin?

A: Yes. Custom cutting, punching, drilling and bending services are available according to your drawings. We can prefabricate parts to save your on-site installation time.

Q5: Will you provide MTC for ASTM A36 / S235JR galvanized C channel?

A: Yes. Mill Test Certificate (MTC) will be issued for each batch. Third-party inspection such as SGS is acceptable if your project requires it.

Q6: What is the zinc coating thickness you normally offer?

A: Standard zinc coating is 60–85 μm. We can make heavier zinc layer over 100 μm for harsh mining and coastal anti-corrosion requirements.

Q7: What are your common trade terms?
