Galvanized Steel Wire / GI Binding Wire
GI binding wire is a popular zinc-coated low carbon steel wire mainly designed for tying and binding jobs. Manufactured from premium low carbon steel rod, it can be electro galvanized or hot dipped galvanized to gain corrosion resistance. It features good softness, easy twisting and cutting performance, which makes it ideal binding material for construction sites.
The surface zinc coating is uniform and firmly attached, effectively preventing rust during storage and usage. We supply a wide range of BWG sizes to meet different tying strength requirements. Small hand coils are convenient for workers to carry and use on site; big coils are for factory automatic binding machines.

FAQ
Q1: What is GI binding wire?
A: GI binding wire, also named galvanized binding wire, is low carbon steel wire coated with zinc layer. It is soft and flexible, mainly used for tying and binding work.
Q2: What is the difference between electro galvanized and hot dipped galvanized binding wire?
A: Electro galvanized binding wire has thin zinc coating, bright surface, suitable for indoor and dry environment. Hot dipped type has thicker zinc coating, better anti-rust performance for outdoor use.
Q3: What raw material is your GI binding wire?
A: Made from low carbon steel Q195 / Q235, equivalent to SAE1006 / SAE1008. Good ductility, easy to twist by hand.
Q4: What BWG sizes do you supply?
A: Available from BWG10 to BWG24, diameter 0.5mm–3.4mm. Custom sizes are acceptable.
Q5: What are the main uses of GI binding wire?
A: Widely used for rebar binding, scaffolding tying, product bundling, farm and garden fixing, handicraft weaving and general binding jobs.
Q6: What coil styles and coil weight are available?
A: Small hand coils for site workers, big coils and spools for automatic machines. Coil weight can be customized from 0.5kg to 1000kg per coil.
Q7: Can you make U-type tie wire or cut straight wire?
A: Yes. We can process U tie wire, pre-cut straight wire and twisted wire as customer’s request.
Q8: Can you provide Mill Test Certificate (MTC)?
A: Sure. MTC certificate can be offered, third-party inspection is also available upon request.
Q9: Can I get samples for test?
A: Free small samples are available. The buyer only needs to cover the courier freight cost.
Q10: What is your MOQ?
A: MOQ depends on BWG, galvanized type and packing. Small trial orders for regular sizes are negotiable.
