Low carbon steel iron wire is a basic raw wire material produced from low carbon steel rod through drawing, annealing and galvanizing treatment. It has good softness and ductility, easy to bend, twist and weld. This iron wire serves two core purposes: on-site binding work and the raw material for producing welded wire mesh, fence panels and other wire products.

We provide both electro galvanized and hot dipped galvanized options. Electro galvanized wire has a bright and smooth zinc surface, suitable for indoor binding and mesh products used in dry environments. Hot dipped galvanized iron wire owns thicker zinc coating, excellent corrosion resistance, perfect for outdoor fencing, construction binding and projects exposed to humid or coastal conditions.

We support customized BWG gauge, wire diameter, coil weight and packing. Strict quality inspection ensures stable tensile strength and uniform zinc layer. It is a popular basic wire material for wire mesh factories, construction suppliers and hardware manufacturers.

FAQ

FAQ for Low Carbon Steel Iron Wire / Binding Iron Wire

Q1: What is low carbon steel iron wire?

A: Low carbon steel iron wire is drawn from low carbon steel rod. It has good ductility. It can be used directly as binding wire or as raw material to produce welded wire mesh and fence products.

Q2: What is the difference between electro galvanized and hot dipped galvanized iron wire?

A: Electro galvanized iron wire has thin zinc layer, bright surface, suitable for indoor binding and mesh products for dry areas. Hot dipped galvanized iron wire has thick zinc coating with superior rust resistance for outdoor construction and fencing.

Q3: What material grade do you use?

A: Q195 / Q235 low carbon steel, equivalent to SAE1006 / SAE1008, ideal for twisting and welding.

Q4: Can this wire be used to make welded wire mesh?

A: Yes. This is one of our main raw materials for welded mesh panels and mesh rolls. Stable welding performance can guarantee solid weld points.

Q5: What BWG and diameters are available?

A: Wire diameter 0.5mm–6.0mm, BWG6 to BWG24. Custom sizes are acceptable.

Q6: What are the main uses?

A: Construction rebar binding, scaffolding tying, raw material for welded mesh, fencing production, pipe & profile bundling, farm and garden tying.

Q7: What coil types and coil weights can you supply?

A: Small hand coils for construction workers and big industrial coils for mesh factories. Coil weight from 10kg up to 1000kg customizable.

Q8: Can you provide MTC certificate?

A: Yes, Mill Test Certificate is available. Third-party inspection can be arranged as requested.

Q9: Can I get samples?

A: Free small samples, buyer only bears courier freight cost.

Q10: What is your MOQ?

A: MOQ depends on wire gauge, galvanizing type and packing. Regular sizes support small trial orders.
