Our IPE I beam is a hot rolled structural I-section steel with parallel flanges, manufactured from ASTM A36 or S235JR carbon steel. It features stable mechanical performance, good ductility and outstanding weldability, widely adopted for primary load-bearing structures in construction, mining and infrastructure projects. IPE series follows European EN standard dimensions, which is popular for African, European and Latin American engineering buyers.

Material & Standards

  • Steel Grade: ASTM A36, S235JR
  • Executive Standards: ASTM A6, EN 10025, EN 10034
  • Profile Type: IPE parallel flange I beam (also support IPN tapered flange I beam upon request)
  • Surface Finish: Black hot rolled finish; hot-dip galvanized coating optional for anti-corrosion

Size & Custom Processing

Full IPE size range from IPE80 up to IPE600. We provide custom fixed-length cutting, hole drilling, bending and pre-fabrication service according to your drawings. All dimensions, straightness and tolerances comply with international structural steel standards.

FAQ

Q1: What is the difference between IPE and IPN I beam?
A: IPE is parallel flange I beam, the most common European standard section, easier for bolt connection. IPN is tapered flange I beam with sloped inner flanges. We supply IPE as standard and IPN upon special request.
Q2: What is the difference between ASTM A36 and S235JR I beam?
A: ASTM A36 is the American carbon steel grade, widely used in Americas projects. S235JR follows EN European standard, popular for Europe, Africa and Middle East. Both have excellent weldability and structural performance for load-bearing frames.
Q3: Can you supply galvanized IPE I beam?
A: Yes. Standard finish is black hot rolled surface. Hot-dip galvanizing service is available for anti-corrosion, suitable for outdoor, coastal and humid mining environments.
Q4: What sizes of IPE I beam do you have?
A: Our IPE range covers IPE80 up to IPE600. Custom lengths and special fabrication are supported. Tell us your required size for quotation.
Q5: Can you cut, drill holes or prefabricate the I beam according to our drawings?
A: Yes. We offer cut-to-length, drilling, notching and pre-fabrication service. Pre-processing helps reduce your workload and installation time on site.
Q6: Will you provide MTC for each batch?
A: Yes, Mill Test Certificate (MTC EN 10204 3.1) will be provided. Third-party inspection like SGS or BV is acceptable if your project requires it.
Q7: What are your available Incoterms?
A: EXW, FOB, CFR, CIF. We have rich export experience shipping steel sections to Africa, South America and Europe for mining, construction and infrastructure projects.
Q8: What is your MOQ?
A: There is no fixed strict MOQ. It depends on IPE size, steel grade and surface treatment. We accept small trial orders as well as full container bulk orders.
Q9: How do you pack the I beams for sea shipment?
A: I beams are bundled with steel strapping, secured tightly for container loading. It is standard seaworthy export packing to avoid damage during transit.
