Our IPE section I beam is hot rolled structural steel with parallel flanges, produced from ASTM A36 or S235JR carbon steel. The IPE profile follows European EN standards, which is widely recognized in Africa, Latin America and European engineering projects. With stable mechanical properties, excellent ductility and great weldability, it is the preferred material for main load-bearing frames.

Steel I beam

FAQ

Q1: What is IPE section I beam?
A: IPE is European standard parallel-flange I beam. It has parallel inner and outer flange surfaces, easier for bolt connection. It is widely used for primary load-bearing structures in construction, mining and infrastructure projects.
Q2: What is the difference between ASTM A36 and S235JR IPE beam?
A: ASTM A36 is American carbon steel grade, popular for North and South American projects. S235JR follows EN 10025 European standard, widely accepted in Europe, Africa and Middle East. Both grades have good weldability and mechanical performance for structural load.
Q3: Can you supply galvanized IPE I beam?
A: Our standard surface is black hot rolled finish. Hot-dip galvanizing service is available upon request, ideal for outdoor, coastal and mining environments that require anti-corrosion protection.
Q4: What IPE sizes are available?
A: We supply full IPE range from IPE80 up to IPE600. Custom lengths and special fabrication are supported. Please send your target size for quotation.
Q5: Can you cut, drill, notch or prefabricate the IPE beam as per our drawings?
A: Yes. We provide cut-to-length, drilling, notching and prefabrication services. Pre-processing reduces your site work and speeds up installation.
Q6: Can you provide Mill Test Certificate (MTC)?
A: Yes, MTC EN 10204 3.1 will be issued for each batch. Third-party inspection such as SGS or BV is acceptable if required by your project.
Q7: What trade terms can you offer?
A: EXW, FOB, CFR, CIF are available. We have rich experience shipping steel sections to Africa, South America and Europe for mining, building and infrastructure projects.
Q8: Do you have a fixed MOQ?
A: There is no strict fixed MOQ. It depends on IPE size, steel grade and surface treatment. We accept small trial orders as well as full container bulk orders.
Q9: How are the IPE beams packed for sea shipment?
A: IPE beams are bundled and fixed with steel strapping. It is standard seaworthy export packing to prevent deformation and damage during ocean transport.
